inquiry.

what is love without hate?
reasonable cause to celebrate?
endings in marriage or divorces?
similar beginnings, results, pending on sources
when you look at it, it's couples that bail
perpetuating the notion, the institution fails
fear, insecurity, or hate suffocates the spark
leaving a lonely many, crying in the dark
what perpetuates this fear?
that makes us cheat/hate/drive away those we hold dear?
what happened to the forever? intertwined with promises?
to stay together through any ruination, no matter how calamitous?
the problem is within us, how are we so wrong?
what happened to the love we believed in for so long?
     (why can't we be strong?)
why do we hide using excuses as veils?
to thinly cover our mistakes, to hide how we fail?
when will we learn, infatuation is not enough?
that we have to work hard, to make the love we dream of?
yet we are all so flawed
subconciously contributing to our downfalls
could it be that what we desire makes us afraid?
is this an end to our hope, can we be saved?
     (hope.)
will we ever reach the wondrous dream?
that leaves our hearts fulfilled yet bursting at the seams?
because as we love, we always want more
and we'll keep fulfilling each other, for it's each other we're for
somehow though explanation evades me
we'll find love that carries through eternity
because miraculously we all won't fail
and hopefully, someday, we all walk that trail
